Purposes:
This
screen will allow the MIMS user to find an incomplete (Registration) MEP file
in MIMS. MIMS can retrieve a single MEP
file record that matches the criteria entered or can search for all matching records
to match the entered criteria and display a results list. The MIMS user can then select the MEP file
from the Result List.

Helpful Hints:
·
When
entering a MEP File Number preceding ‘zeros’ are not required (i.e: for MEP File Number 0000-111, enter as 111).
·
Hyphenating
is not required and will result in an error message if used in the MEP File
Number (1002-142 enter as 1002142).
·
Search
criteria are not case sensitive. i.e.
uppercase, lower case or a combination of case can be used in fields.
·
A
maximum of 200 files can be displayed on the Result List.
·
If ‘Active’ or ‘Closed’ status is selected and
the file is found MIMS will default to S61 Maintain MEP File.
Procedure:
1.
Begin
by selecting Registration Tab. (Defaults to S39 Search for Incomplete File –
Criteria)
2.
If
MEP file number appears in the “File Number” field delete before proceeding.
3.
Enter
a MEP File Number in the “File Number” field and click the search button. If a file is found it will open screen S50
Activation Wizard Maintain File Status.
4.
If
the MEP file number is unknown, enter information in one or more of the other
fields and click the search button. The more criteria entered the narrower the
search will be. The Results List will be displayed.
5.
“Sort
Criteria” can be chosen when a wider criteria search is being requested to sort
the large number of files that will likely be found.
6.
If
only one file exists for the criteria entered, S50 Activation Wizard Maintain
File Status will automatically be displayed.
7.
Select
a MEP file from the Results List by clicking the File Number hyperlink, which
will take the users to screen S50 Activation Wizard Maintain File Status.
6. To clear the previous information and re-enter your search
criteria, click the reset button.

to select “Exact” or “Starts With” to enter last name. The search will look
for a match where the name entered has a party file role. A minimum of 2
characters must be entered to search with “Starts With”. Input length up to 50 characters. |

be used in conjunction with last name. Input

Select from the drop down box one of the
Identifiers options and then enter the corresponding information for that
identifier. MIMS will automatically add dashes between
numeric characters for SIN, PHN, and AB client MVID. The MIMS user must enter other identifiers
exactly as were originally entered to MIMS. |

the preferred sort order from the drop down box. Can be sorted by debtor name, primary creditor or file
status. The result list screen will
be sorted by the selected sort criteria. Sort
result display default is ‘Debtor Name’. |

the ‘Search’ button after entering one or more search criteria to execute the
